The Soft Play Cafe in Stirchley offers a quaint, thoughtfully designed space tailored especially for families with young children. Located on Pershore Road, this spot functions as both a soft play area and café, making it a convenient place where parents can keep an eye on their little ones while enjoying a well-made coffee or a light bite.

The soft play area is modest in size but cleverly arranged to avoid overwhelming younger children, which many local parents appreciate. It hosts an interactive environment with sensory toys and gentle play structures that invite exploration without the chaos often found in larger venues. This creates a calm yet engaging setting perfect for toddlers and preschoolers, especially those who may need a slower-paced introduction to busy play spaces.

The café side serves a solid variety of hot and cold drinks, from classic lattes and chai lattes to milkshakes and smoothies. Bagels and sweet treats like brownies on skewers complement the beverage menu, providing quick, simple options suitable for a casual visit rather than a full meal. This balance works well for parents looking to grab a quality drink and snack while accompanying their children, or for grandparents and friends joining the outing.

The atmosphere is marked by a quiet attentiveness, with enough seating comfortably spaced around the play area. Families often find reserved tables on arrival, a detail that supports a feeling of welcome and ease, especially during busier weekend slots. Staff consistently come across as warm and accommodating, showing flexibility toward drop-ins and a genuine understanding of the varying needs of small children and their carers.

Best times to visit tend to be weekday mornings or early afternoons, when the café isn’t crowded and the space maintains a relaxed vibe. This allows parents to enjoy peaceful conversations or some downtime while kids engage safely in play. Stirchley’s local community has embraced this venue as a reliable, low-pressure spot for gathering, socialising, and easing into the daily rhythm of family life without the noise and rush commonly associated with larger play centres.

In sum, The Soft Play Cafe suits families who value a quieter, more intimate soft play experience combined with straightforward café offerings and attentive service. Whether you’re a Stirchley resident or visiting nearby, it’s a space designed to fit gently into the routines of everyday parenting, offering both comfort for adults and just enough stimulation for little ones to keep curious fingers busy.

The softplay isnt very big but so interactive that it keeps children of all ages, busy. My son gets nervous so it was the perfect size for him to explore without feeling too overwhelmed. The staff are really friendly and were really accommodating to me and my 2 year old as we turned up without a booking but they didn’t make me feel bad or anything, instead the staff were so lovely and helpful and very chatty which was nice. I didn’t try the food but looking at the other tables; the portion looked big and it all looked tasty. I’ll definitely go back (with a booking) as my 2 year old really enjoyed it.

I've been really struggling to find baby friendly soft plays that are not absolute chaos. I stumbled across this place on Google and glad that I did. It is a decent size and has enough space for the soft play and seating. I visited with my little boy, my sisters and mom. It was nice and quiet, and they had reserved seating/tables for us with our names, which was a nice touch. We tried a range of drinks and were happy with our purchases. The food menu also looked good, but we did not eat today. The soft play was clean and had lots to do to keep my 8 month old son entertained. Not like so me of these bigger places which are very grubby! My only constructive criticism would be regarding the tempature at the cafe. Due to the last few days hitting 30 degrees, the cafe was very warm! I can only see this being an issue when we have had really hot weather, but did make it slightly uncomfortable in the soft play. We will definitely be back to visit again as we enjoyed our visit.

This is by far one of the best soft play’s I’ve visited with my toddler. The staff are consistently helpful, friendly, and genuinely caring. My little one always has a great time here, and the fact that it’s also a café is an added bonus. Highly recommend!

We really love this cafe. It has a small soft play area with lots of sensory toys and thoughtful details around the rest of the cafe, like car ramps and bookshelves. The staff are really friendly, and it's small enough to feel calm even when the kids are having a great time. Food is tasty is well-priced.

This was genuinely the most wonderful play café I’ve ever visited. The space was amazing, and the lovely lady working there today was an absolute gem — her customer service was honestly the best I’ve ever experienced. The atmosphere was so warm, welcoming, and relaxing, with such a lovely ambience. My toddler had the best time playing, I enjoyed a great coffee, and even my newborn had a fabulous nap. Thank you so much! xx

I had my child’s party here and it was such a lovely experience. The soft play provided entertainment for all 12 children that attended (aged between 1 and 3). The lunch boxes were really sweet and it was great that we could still bring our own cake and decorations. The staff were really helpful thoughout and it felt like a home from home. It’s such a beautiful environment, feels much nicer than your average soft play with everything feeling of a high quality (from the tables to the soft play area itself and the way the cafe is styled). I would highly recommend a small party here for little ones, the time absolutely flew by!

We have visited The Softplay Cafe on multiple occasions now and my twins love it. For us it’s just the right size. Small enough that I am confident for them to play without my supervision (although you can see all areas) but also big enough that during the 1.5 hour visit they don’t get bored. The sensory corner is cute as well. Kamarah and the team are all lovely and so welcoming. The service is A* and the “light bites” are fresh and tasty. Prices are also affordable/reasonable. It’s a lovely addition to the area and I wish them all the success

The soft play itself is lovely, for a small area it does have lots to do, little music bit with a bubble panel and lights, ball pit, slide, climbing steps with swinging bags to dodge past and a little bit for babies and younger children. There are mirrors and sensory stepping stones. Lots of little balls and toys to pick up as well. The toilets are well stocked with nappies, wipes, pads and are well maintained. The lunch box we had was very cute, our little one loved it, and each table had mats with cars which is a lovely touch. Lots to do abd my little boy loved it for the most part. The ladies were both lovely, very friendly and and everything was clean and tidy. My only issue was near the end of our session as more people came, my son did get overwhelmed as did I... It felt like you couldn't move anywhere and I didn't feel like I could get to him when he had been pushed over by another child. It is a very compact space where the tables and everything are very close together... When it's quieter it is a dream, but when it's busy it can easily feel quite full on. Overall however still a lovely little local gem that is easy to get to via public transportation run by a local small business mom, definitely worth a go.
